Default Turbo Kit Install Complications

Whether it be custom, Drag, Revhard, maxrev, etc, etc... I wanted to get some insight on what encounters you had that made your turbo install go a bit slower than planned. whether it be the down pipe, turbo fitments, intercooler fitments, 4 bolt exhaust side or 5 bolt, chassis, etc, etc.... I want to know. I appreciate the responses and I am sure many other people do as well that are planning on doing a turbo kit in the near future.

thanks

my biggest prob was having to cut **** , like my bumper support to fit the ic nicely and the ends of the frame , or banged em in to get the piping to fit around it right
other than that mine took soo long becuas ei rewired my whole car for the most part.
oh yea make sure you have all the fittings for the feed line , make sure you have the 1/8bspt to 1/8npt fitting and its a 15/16 deep socket to take the stock oil perssure sender off. . . . i didnt have one so that was another day till i geot one and got it done
everythign else was pretty striaght forward

Yeah, I'll second the oil pressure sender thing... make sure you have the right socket to fit over it before you start... I couldn't get an adjustable wrench in there to get it off, and none of the metric wrenches I had were big enough. Finally my dad came through with the right socket from his tool box and we got it off.

Also, the O2 sensor was a bitch and a half to get out of the exhaust manifold. If I had to do it again I would just leave that one and go buy a new one from the dealership. I had to heat it with a torch and beat on it to get it out, and I still stripped half the threads off.

Third thing that took time was the oil pan... if you aren't careful, you'll damage the gasket (I ordered a new one from Honda before the install, but they gave me the wrong part... lucky I didn't damage mine). I had to get a chisel and put it between the pan and the block and hammer on it to get the pan off, it was pretty well stuck to the block.

If I had to give any advise, it would be when something isnt working or fitting right, be patient and do things right. If you take corners here and there, end the end your kits performance will reflect on it. cutting bumpers are a pain, make sure you teflon all fittings properly, and epect to run into problems, nothing ever goes as planned. Channel locks work good on the oil sending unit, I think its a 23mm though.
