Hi, i recently bought a b18C4 engine to do a swap into an EK civic. My heart is set on turboing this engine, can anyone recommend a turbo kit for this engine as i am find it hard to to come accross one as this is a UK spec engine.

how much power are you looking for?

how much money do you want to spend?

 

i have a few thousand pounds GBP to spend. Want to bring it up to around 250 bhp....... Just need to find a good turbo kit for this engine...... any knowledge appreciated

that wont be to hard to do then... if all your looking for is 250bhp

look into building your own "kit"

Like a log manifold turbo and down pipe, there are alot of companys on HT that make good manifolds that are cheap and reliable

 

just want to squeeze 250 at the very least because i dont want to do much work on the engine...... i kinda have my heart set on a turbo though and i want to run it pretty much on the stock engine with forged pistons..... checked out full race there and they seem to only cater for B18C, B18C1 and B18C5 engines......

i know the B18C1 is the equivenlent in terms of power to the UK spec B18C4 and it runs a GSR motor would a turbo for the B18C1 fit the B18C4 without modification to fit? its just i dont want to end up spending thousands on a turbo shipping it from the states only to find it doesent fit......

The C4 is the same as the C1 as far as anything you're going to do to it goes.

 

on the full race website what does 'AC' and 'PS' compatible mean?

 

AC is Air conditioner an PS is power steering

 

all those kits wil fit, seeming as they are all pretty much the same motors.

 

b18c1 will work on the b18c4 fine, building a b18c4 just now my self. b18c5/6 have different spacing for the exhuast and inlet manifolds. i put a kit together for my b16a2 cost £1400 in total. making 284hp fine all day long

 

yeah as stated b18c1 and c4 r the same, shipping my Full Race kit to Portugal wasnt that pricey but the taxes....
