come mon guys do a search.........itr206 on honda-tech was very sucessful....made like 295whp at like 6psi or something.....

high compression to compenstate low boost
spoolin time is really good since its not so boost dependant

low compression lots of boost lots of lag simple as that

there are plenty of turbo'd R's its been done.....

Don't turbo an ITR...

Haven't you heard that LS motors are better for boost because VT3K doesn't matter in FI?

Be sure to use an LS transmission also, because everyone knows that longer gears are better for boost as well.

Alright, ill try to shine some light. Yes, you can turbo an ITR. My opinion is to search and learn a shitload more about it before you even think about it. Because if you don't even know if you can turbo your car then you've probably got a good amount of learning ahead of you. But this isn't a bad place to start. Look up some threads in the archives and recent topics and just take in as much as you can.

It can very easily be done. However, with the high compression your definately looking at a very minimal room for error, better make sure you have a good tuner in your area and you need to spend money and get some very good engine management (Hondata, Uberdata or AEM). Tuning will be 100% the key to your setup. Piecing it together will be very easy, as there is quite a bit of options. It all depends on your power goals and if you want to build up your block or stay stock.

you cant turbo type R's unless you put a Spoon Vtec fluid and JDM wrist pins in your pistons. then it will hold like 30-32 psi fine.

Dont forget the APC radiator cap extension, lowers the temps for everything in a 3inch radius of the cap...such as hood, valve cover, all that hot ****.

welll the thing is ima get my engine/tranny swap done sometime soon... and i was wondering what would be fast... i dont wanna go all out like omg its the fastest car in the world... just something fast enough for me and be able to have fun with... i eventually plan to go turbo and run about 6-7 psi at the most and i just wanted peoples opinions on a turbo r.... cuz after all the itr was perfected by honda to me intened for all motor, and if i put a turbo on it it defeats the whole purpose of gettin a itr and i might as well get a gsr with ls tranny... also another option i had in mind was a 97+ h22 which i also plan to eventually turbo but i dont kno how much engine space ill have to play with wit the h22 in an ek... also i dont think there is much aftermarket for an h22 compared to a b18
