old car air filter placement. trapped between the turbo and the frame/body and the block really not getting any cold air

intercooler piping setup on my new one. both have the same setup just looking for a new way to run the airfilter before finishing

Very limited in a DA. Honestly if the intercooler is doing its job then it won't matter much. The air coming out of the turbo is very hot anyway

You can flip the turbo the other way around but then again you would have to buy another downpipe for that setup. My bro-in-law DA was setup that way with the battery relocated to the rear already.

yeah i thought about that but i might just re route the charge pipe for the backdoor method then run the filter to the wheel well

That manifold was designed to face the passenger fender originally. But most have it facing downward toward the bottom of the car if facing in the direction it currently is

yeah that makes sense i just dont get why they would make the kit the way they did. definitely makes this job a pain but with a little fabrication im sure i could come up with something

You can get an aluminum 90* and weld it to the inlet up or down an possible get it to the inner fender well. Then Powder coat that **** green.

Love how you felt the need to point this out even though he's probably already aware it's complete **** and is working with what he has.
