Either irratic timing, or lean fuel condition. My best guess is your lean.

I agree...my car did the same thing untuned, and after the crossover point I got a HUGE uncontrollable surge of power....after I got it tuned, its a smooth transistion, no hestitation

Get it tuned for sure. Like they said you are probably lean. Another thing to check that is real simple is your plugs and gap. When I boosted my car(only 5psi before newer 10lb pulley) it would start to cutout or jerk when I'd hit higher rpms. All I did was close the spark gap a tad.

it actually sounds more like it's runing too rich, If it was runing lean it would just not pull as hard. Hessitation is generally due to being too rich or poor spark. My guess is that you need a tune up (plugs, wires, cap, rotor) and/or lean it out a little. Do the tune now unless you just did one. I picked up 17whp by doing a basic tune up and another 10whp with a little fine tuning of the air/fuel ratio (leaning it out). Also if you were too lean, you would most likely have other symptoms like detonation.

just don't rev it past VTEC or set the point higher until you can get it tuned
