Sounds alot like that guy Tim from "Speed-factor" who ran through the mirage and hyundai crowd about 3 years ago. I only found out about it after being screwed too. Oh wait, that was him. Just like I said it was when he changed the name to Turbo Elements.
I'd like to think people change, but they don't.

Idiot, you aren't getting the part. Contact him and say the following:
"Dear Tim,
My name is Mr. XXXX XXXXXXXX. I placed an order for XXXXXXXX on XXXXXXX. I have yet to receive my order. You have said a number of times that the manifold will be here shortly and keep putting me off. If you do not send the correct manifold by weeks end with tracking information, I will be forced to ask for a refund. If you do not refund my money or send me the manifold by weeks end, I will simply contact my credit card company and do a charge back. I'm sorry things have had to come to this but as far as I'm concerned this is my only option. Please email me back which route you plan on choosing.
Best regards,
XXXXXXX XXXXXX"
Next time, before placing the order, ask them "When are you going to ship this out?" they will give you some date. Ask, "Can I hold you to this date?" If they say no, ask what date you can hold them to. If they won't set a date, then look for another person. Once you find someone willing to commit to a date say, "If I don't have my manifold sent out by that date, I'm filing a credit card dispute within 48 hours." This way people know where you stand. You expect your goods on time, but are willing to give them an extra 48 hours to fix their mistake. If they don't, you refuse to be held up and will get your credit card company to refund your money.

yea wow that would be great if he would answer the phone....but unfortunatley he wont answer or return my calls, ive left SEVERAL messages
I have been talking to him, but when your closed over the holiday weekend and he calls 50 times your not going to get an answer. And I told you and I know Gina tells everyone if for whatever reason you can't get a hold of us on the phone send us a e-mail. Which you have not done.
Plus you forgot to add you had put a jumbled address in with the order and that the first time it was sent it was sent back because of your error, I cannot make ups send it back to me any quicker, but I did get the manifold back on wed and we and ups have been closed since then, sorry I didn't call you back. Also I'm trying to do your label for tomorrow right now so I can post it up for everyone to see I'm not screwing you over and the second address is incorrect. Are you sure it is not Wiley Ford, instead of Ridgeley cause ups will not except the address being in Ridgeley.

I know there is a lot of crap going on with custom stuff, especially turbo manifolds. But it is pretty rare for the op to give the complete story. This forum does seem to get results when someone posts.I do like to see both sides.
personally tim gave me his cell # a while back and i was able to order a turbo on a sunday afternoon. took a few weeks but i got it and its holding up well over a year later...
ive also heard people have waited many months for parts from him/turbo elements..i guess its just hit or miss???

Thanks Guys, I'm not here to screw anyone over. I will try and help anyone out, but sometimes it comes back to bite me in the ***. That is just the nature of this industry.
i see where your coming from, anyway im tired of fighting about it give me a tracking # tommorrow (monday) and we will cal it a deal....that is if u actually do it, im not discussing my adress on here so call me or ill call u tonite if ull answer the phone.
Dude, email him or PM him your address. I would NEVER take an address over the phone. Too easy to mess it up. You aren't using your head. Send Tim an email with exactly what I said and include your address.
Tim, you have a shady rep. If I didn't get my manifold within a month, I'd do a charge back. Then again, with your rep, I wouldn't do business with you. There are plenty of other people on Honda-tech that are just as competitive in pricing that don't have these issues.

^^ Thats fair and that is your opinion which you are entitled to, but until you do business you can't judge a business. If I did everything based off what I hear I wouldn't do nothing in life.
Jordan send me a e-mail with the straight up address not the jumbled mess that you did the order with.

Tim is great with me. He sent me a collector free of charge when i was in a pinch and told me to pay as soon as i could, no rush
thanks man!

thanks man!
Make up some legal document stipulating what he has promised, along with your own stipulations stating that each week a large % of the payment is to be forfited by Turbo Elements, and that by the end of the 6 months, 100% of your payment is to be refunded - WITH INTREST.
And that any refusal to sign said agreement will result in an immediate charge back. Then reuse the document when you 'order' a manifold from another guy who sells future creations, not stuff he's already made.

I would never ever deal with someone that made me do that for this small of a transaction. That is down right ridiculous. Not to mention to inforce such a contract you'd spend more in legal fees than you'd earn with 3% interest. All you have to do is say, "I need the manifold by this day. If it's not here by said date, I'm going to do a charge back".
Tim, my family has been in retail for about 50 years under our Inc. Our current business is all based on due dates. If someone wants something for a day and we can't do it, we don't take the work. If we can, it will be done by that day or earlier. If we fail to get it done on that date, we generally lose their business. We don't often lose business because we get the stuff done on time. You on the other hand have had issues with this in the past and it seems like a current problem as well. Good luck with everything, but I'd suggest changing how you do things.

Look at turbo-elements location..just based on that I wouldn't go with them. But keep us posted on how it's going, and if need be, I can help you out with police contact. Or even a lawyer...
I hate scammers.

It's a long story, and I'm only one person, but basically Tim was to make mild steel log manifolds for a group buy I did years and years ago. The manifolds that did show up looked like ish and were all late, 2 never showed up, and Tim dropped off the face of the Earth. I finally recieved 10 random tracking numbers (yes, just numbers) with no info and Tim told me I should send those to my customers and let them figure it out. lol. Still one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.
Looking into it further, I realized the mirage/hyundai market was going through the same thing with him. I cut my losses, watched "Speed-Factor" renamed to "Turbo Elements", and here we are. I thought a new website and attitude would have taken over by now, but every now and then we still get these threads with the customer always being at fault. lol.
This is years ago, and I'm more humored by it now. Time has removed my frustration about the whole thing, but I still feel a call to duty when the name pops up. Retribution if you will.

Well that isn't the truth, steve got every manifold he paid for and then he blamed me for not sending 2 manifolds that he could never produce the paypal payment for, so in turn they were never sent. As a matter of fact I still have those 2 manifolds sitting here to this day. But people like to remember what they want.
For the record I have never screwed anyone over and it is funny I still deal in both the mirage and hyundai community. And I have the fastest hyundai elantra in the us and help out all the hyundai community with the research, so you can drop your song and dance steve. I don't go around saying how bad your oil lines were when I was dealing with you either and how I had to replace oil feed lines that started leaking.
