Default Turbo on D16Y7

I was thinking of either a NA swap to a b18c1, a turbo swap to a b18b or keeping my stock motor and turboing that for the time being until i can get the money together for the swap. Anyone here running a turbo on my motor??? Just curious about your dyno numbers, how you like driving it and maybe 1/4 times. Thanks!

I have a d16y8, but no dyno and track numers - still needs to be tuned. You can expect at 9-10psi about 195-200hp at times of close to 14.5 at the track. It would be a lot better and cheaper in the long run if you just went with the B18b, then turbo or even wait a little longer to turbo the B18c if you decide to go that route. Don't get me wrong there are some guys that run d16 turbos and get good numbers, but just be prepared for the worst and make sure you have $$$ just in case.

hey pornstar....email me when you get your car up and running with the turbo... Im really interested in not swapping motors...maybe a mini-me swap and then turboing it. Im not intersted in going ***** to the wall, but just pretty quick around town...I dont really plan on racing it auto-x, just to have a fun car to drive. Thanks!

yeah ill let you know,

my guy ovre a zex nitrous has a single came in a race car.....same bottome end as us but with the vtec head....and he put there zex cam in it and is running turbo he said he nets something like 30hp just from the head plus %40 from the turbo so say 220hp, on moderate boost and no other tuning......our bottom ends responed well to vtec heads for some reason......but i could be wrong about the number depending on the boost...

but yeah ill let you know, if you want to see what i have done check out the website at the bottom of my post, in my signiture.....the pornstarclothing.com site, and just go t othe racing page, then find the build up of a race car section
