Re: turbo D non vtec setups
Hey i'm just up the road in Vancouver and have a D16a6 with a gt2871r.64 made 234whp and 220 lbft torque at 12psi on the stock motor.
I am putting some miles on my new setup which is
D16a6
SRP forged pistons 9.5 compression
Tuner Toys rods
ACL bearings
rebuilt mildly ported a6 head
Bisimoto 1.2 turbo cam
Bisimoto springs
Bisimoto cam gear
1mm o/s SI valves
and the other usual things done on a complete rebuild
new clutch since the old one slipped really bad when we tried to dyno the new setup at the old settings.As soon as I get some miles on the new clutch and get a retune I'll post what Jeff at RREV comes up with for power on pump.

Re: turbo D non vtec setups
Its main purpose will be drag though it will still see some street action every now and again There will be 2 tunes ones for pump and one for race I dont want to have to pay out the *** for race gas just to putt around on the street

Re: turbo D non vtec setups
my old d16a6 rocked, man i miss it.
stock head, stock block with SRPs/Eagles, made 300.08/254 on pump with a small SVO.63 hot side/60-1 cold side. 20 psi.
it was so fun, until and injector crapped out and broke a sleeve. 25k of enjoyable miles though.

Re: turbo D non vtec setups
I'm on my phone so I can't go too much into it, but it's a y7 eagles and Aries pistons, 272 delta cam. Pump gas 300/244.t3/t4 50 trim with a .48 exhaust. I will post some more info later.
I'd like to switch to a bisi moto cam and perhaps do some port work soon

Re: turbo D non vtec setups
that hy35 makes the best d series powercurve of any turbo i've EVER seen out of a d
what do you think the max that turbo could put out? 450whp? or more or less, i've seen nothing but good stuff from that turbo. most people pass it up because you can't change the hotside to a bigger AR, but thats what makes it such an awesome powerband for street car or a daily
do you know where to get a new one? or what year and model dodge it came on? what is the ar on those i know its either 7,8, or 9 cm one of those 3 but not sure which one, but it equals a .65 t3 hotside

Re: turbo D non vtec setups
the HY35 came on 90's dodge AUTOMATIC turbo diesels.
we've used one on a B series and made 400whp on race gas and 19psi.
on a side note, ran the civic yesterday. Holy crap it surprised the crap outta me. ran a best of 11.54 @ 118mph, and consistent 11.6-11.7's @ 117mph

Re: turbo D non vtec setups
good times there so im getting a hella cheap spray kit for my car still unsure if ill spray my interclooer or the motor itself ... what do you all think?
theklit is a nitrous express wet kit up for grabs. Comes with:
* Bottle (empty)
* Bottle brackets
* Nitrous and fuel solenoids mounted on a little custom aluminum bracket by me
* Nitrous filter on the inlet of the nitrous solenoid
* Fuel feed line
* Nozzle fuel delivery line
* Nozzle nitrous delivery line
* Bottle to nitrous solenoid feed line, but its only 3 feet due to the previous owner driving an MR2 You will need to go to that joint up in Ankeny and buy a normal 8ft line if thats what you require.
* Cold Fusion nozzle (better than the NX one, better atomization)
* Pills for 35, 50, 75 and 100 shot. I might have pills for 150 too, but I don't think so.
* Small wiring harness w/relay I made for triggering system. Nice Bosch relay and a nifty clear fuse holder. Hell,

Re: turbo D non vtec setups
no numbers yet bu just finished the turbo set up on my girls 94 civic dx 4 door. stock d15b working a/c
turbo set up
coreyR log manny
ko3gt turbo
2 1/2 ss down pipe
ebay intercooler
dsm bov
dsm 450cc injectors
tuned on uberdata.
the only reason i went with the k03 was because i do alot of towing with this car and it is just a slug so i did nto shoot for big power but i will be on the dyno for some tuning and will up the boost to see what happens.
once this motor dies i have a d16a6 in the works with vitaras FJT's some sort of cam unknow yet. and the same turbo set up till i get boared and get a different trubo.
i will post some pictures tommrow
