TURBO COMPARRISON
SUP GUYS I HAVE SEARCHED THE WEB AND NO ONE HAS COMPARED THE 2 TURBO'S THAT I HAVE MY EYE ON...LETS SEE IF I CAN GET SOME INPUT OUT OF MY FELLOW HONDA-TECHS???? LOL WELL HERE IT IS I HAVE A BUILT LS VTEC AND I CURRENTLY HAVE A SC34 BUT IT HAS THE .48 A/R...MY GOAL IS 400-450HP SO KEEP THAT IN MIND...MY QUESTION IS WHAT WOULD BE BETTER INSTEAD OF THE .48 A/R, MAYBE KEEPING THE SC34 AND GETTING THE .63 A/R, OR BUYING A 60-1???WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SC34 WITH THE .63 A/R AND A 60-1...WHICH IS GONA BE BETTER FOR MY SETUP...AND HOW MUCH BIGGER IS THE 60-1....? LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS THINK.....ANY INFORMATION WILL HELP!!! THANKS

Well to put it easily, 60-1 is much larger and rated to around 5-550hp i believe, while an sc34 with the .48AR is going to struggle to make over 350whp. The 60-1 is going to have far much more lag but the top end will make up for it.
With your goal of 400-450 i would suggest some variant of the 30R, it will still spool fast and make a **** ton of power, only downside is the price...

I COMPLETLY UNDERSTAND THAT THE 30R WOULD BE GREAT BUT I CAN GET A DEAL AND A HALF ON THE 60-1 AND THE 30R IS OUT OF MY PRICE RANGE SO I HAVE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN THE 60-1 OR THE .63 A/R SC34....YOU STATED THAT THE SC34 WILL STRUGLE, BUT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT THE .48 A/R OR THE .63 A/R SC34?? THE REASONING BEHIND GETTING THE 60-1 IS THAT I DONT WANT SOMETHING THAT WILL SPOOL INSTANTLY, I NEED SOME LAG SO I CAN STILL GET TRACTION OUT OF THE HOLE...

60-1 then would be the best bet, i wouldn't mess around with the sc34, expecailly because you are probibly going to want to make more power in the future anyways.

just because you dont have lag doesnt you mean you wont have traction. lag usually means a spike in power later on which means LESS TRACTION FASTER, with a quick spool you can maintain linear power from the get go which is what you want for traction. No spikes or surges in power.

THANKS GUYS FOR ALL THE FEEDBACK!! I THINK IM GONA GO WITH THE 60-1....I AM PAYING 800 FOR IT WITH A 3INCH DOWNPIPE AND OIL LINES...GOOD PRICE OR TOO HIGH...ITS BRAND NEW...
