Default Turbo Choice for a B18B1

Hey i need some help picking a turbo. I want to spend less than $500. Ive been looking at rebuilt T3's and cant decide what would be best for me. As of now the motor is stock so i plan to run about 5.8psi. This summer i hope to have forged internals so i want to just be able to get a new wastegate spring and run about 12-14psi. Right now im trying to decide between a Super 60 T3 and a T3/T04E. But i dont really know what trim or A/R i should be looking for. I would like to have pretty quick spool but i dont want it to die out at high rpm. Im open to suggestions. Thanks guys.

you can run 14 psi on a stock motor all day when tunned especially on an ls, my ls has a sc61 which is a t3 t4 with a 63 a.r exhaust with a 57 trim full boost at 4.8k not that good of a power band but thats what i like is top end, and im boosting 13 psi on my stock ls with a 165k miles so if its tunned right you wont have a problem

yeah go with a basic t3/t4 .63 a/r. That will do wonders on the stock LS. And it will have room for more power when you build your bock later on.

an sc61 does not have a 57 trim wheel

but yah... i used a 60-1 hifi (t3/t04e 60-1 comp. wheel, .63 a/r turbine housing, stage 3 turbine wheel) got full boost ~4500 rpm. made 260whp @ 11psi and 315whp @ 15psi
