Default Turbo Back help

i am trying to piece together a nice 3" turbo back exhaust system for my 98 gsr w/ 18g greddy kit.

1. will a 3in downpipe bolt up to this kit? or will it need to be 2.5 flared to 3?
2. i now have an obd1 ecu and i need to know which o2 sensors i need to have bungs for in order for the CEL not to come on. (one on the DP? one in the Test pipe (front or back)?)
3. will a thermal catback system bolt up to a 3 bolt 3" test pipe?

thanks for your help

since you are obd1, you only need the front o2 sensor, not the rear. just make sure the flange on the thermal catback has the matching flange on the test pipe you are using. however, im not sure about the downpipe bolting to the turbo....you will have to search to find that out.

you just need one o2 sensor, and you should put it close to where the stock front o2 sensor is located.

Having an additional bung is nice if you want to do some wideband tuning.

The front o2 was in the DP on my old greddy kit. As for the bolt pattern, bring it to a exhaust shop, they should be able to fab one up for you. I don't believe that there is a aftermarket one available for the greddy kit. I had a buddy make a flange for 3in for mine.

is it okay to have that second bung open for wideband? or does something need to be in it?

It is fine to have it there, however, I would keep it pluged when you are not using it so that you are not creating an exhaust leak.

Get a bolt that is the correct size to plug the bung when not in use. ATPturbo sells the bolt you need.
