turbo b16 checklist
turbo'in my 99 si with a peakboost kit, so far i have 750cc injectors, clips, resistor, omni 4bar map sensor, chipped p28. I have on my list to order still is arp headstuds and walboro fp. Anything else i'm missing besides the turbokit? Also what size headgasket should i use, I heard that it is good to put in a new one. And what NGK spark plugs should i get?
I'm not going for a lot of power, it will be tuned to be daily driven, maybe 10psi (i know i dont need the 4bar map sensor but it came with the injectors and all for $300 from a friend), i'm not sure yet, I'll have to talk to my tuner. Any other input would be cool thanks.

Get rid of your RC injectors and just get a set of Injector Dynamics 1000ccs or their 725ccs. They are high impedence, so you won't need an injector driver or resistor box. Headstuds aren't necessarily needed as is the headgasket as long as your motor is in good condition. I would assume you already did a compression test and leak down. If your compression test and leakdown numbers are good, then there is no reason to take your top end off to redo it. If you need to buy a headgasket, you would be buying a 81mm assuming your motor has never had a rebuild. You are gonna buy a headgasket for whatever size bore your cylinders are. If you did a rebuild and went .25 over then you get 81.25mm.... get the idea. What clutch do you plan on using? Your gonna need a clutch to harness the power. Stock clutch will give up the ghost pretty quickly. Again my recommendation for that would be Competition Clutch Stage 4, plenty streetable and will easily hold your power. You didn't mention gauges or anything, but I would suggest getting Boost at least. I know amongst me and my friends we use boost, EGT, wide band O2. You seem to have everything else in order. I plan on having the same Peakboost kit sent to me in a couple weeks for my other car.

Thanks for your help. What is wrong with the injectors i have now? I think they are precision injectors my friend said. I have not yet done a compression test, do you think its necessary if i jsut hit 60k miles? My car is all original and was stock, for some time. And competiton stage 4 clutch was exactly what i was looking at, I just wasnt to sure if it was too tough for the streets and every day driving? I dont mind if it is, just not crazy undriveable. So far i also have a defi boost gauge and i was looking for a AFR gauge for now. My motor is stock so a 81mm headgasket would be good? Any specific name brand? thanks

OEM replacement parts are your best bet. Golden Eagle uses OEM head gaskets and re bores them to larger sizes for the guys who have bigger pistons. If you just past 60K I doubt you will need to do anything to your motor besides really putting on the kit installing the clutch, doing your fuel system and get a tune. The Competition Stage 4 is the perfect choice, it is very very streetable. Won't cramp your calfs or make you have a slightly larger calf than the other because of stiff pedal feel.
