Default tuning problem, or setup?

ok posting this for a good friend

he got tuned yesturday

b18c1 sleeved
golden eagle assembled
gsr head ported by rlz

pro1 cams--edited they were stock gsr on the dyno .. has not put them in yet
skunk 2 valve train

inline pro manifold
ac and ps

sc4427E
Rc750cc injecotrs
walbro intank

got it tuned @19psi 93 octane on a dyno dynamics .. it reads lower than most

316whp
354 ft lbs

why is the whp so low>?
and that tq is monster high for that boost level on that dyno..

any thought into what would make the numbers fall like this..

he also tried to put c16 in and tune it at 26psi anything over 22psi it was blowing spark out is what the tuner told him.. i thought the stock ignition was better than that

pics of the dyno graph? Also do you have a plot of the boost curve? It sounds like its laying over bad up top to have so much more torque than hp. There could be a serious restriction or boost is dropping big time.

Post the dyno graph.. The spark can blow out for a number of reason.. Too much retard, Too much fuel, to big a spark gap for the combination of retard, fuel and mixture density, or the ignition system could just be worn out.

There are a couple things wrong, first off i am not sure who is tuning the the car but the stock ignition can work at levels well past what you guys are doing.

Second off, take the pro 1's out. I am telling you that they are hurting you.

and with a small turbo and a log manifold pro1's will KILL your car.

just because tony1 runs em dosnt mean they will work in every setup.

put some stock b-series cams in there.. gsr, b16, itr.. anything but what you have

this is not the end result tq is at about 290 in this one..

they kept adding timing and the tq kept rising , but the hp stayed the same

notice that as soon as vtec comes in the curve goes to ****. cams are too big, you have too much exhaust pressure to make use of those cams.

That is just about what it looks like. I've had this happen with Mazworx cams, Edelbrock intake manifold, log manifold and T350 turbine wheel

I didnt even read any further than huge motor/cams and tiny turbo. The saw log manifold and knew the answer.

Need to put in some stock cams brother, that or get a good flowing manifold. Im going to make a safe assumption that its not even the larger inline pro but the smaller a/c friendly one. Way to much cam for that turbo and manifold combo.

Yes Tony1 rusn them with a massive turbo and a free flowing manifold along with a 4" up-pipe that is only about 12 inches long. you've got restriction out the a-ss for those cams. gsr cams will heavily compliment your setup. even type r's IMO will be to much others will feel differently on that but with that turbo gsr cams will be excellent.

That's exactly why you street tune (at least on low boost) before going to the dyno. Just paid whole bunch of money to find out something is messed up. It looks like as soon as your turbo start spooling it shuts down. Boost leak? Wastegate acting up? What's the boost cut at? Does it sound like it's missing? Did the vtec ever kick in?
