Default Tuning Haltech for 20psi?

I talked to a local guy today about tuning my car. I knows he's done Haltech before and I'm certain because his DSM use to have one. I asked him how much he can get me with aroud 18-20psi and he told me that I should expect around 350-400whp....is that pretty good for the amount of boost I'm using through a 60-1? I kinda thought that that was kinda low....

On 20lbs you should be near 450-480whp depending on your compression ratio. The 60-1's are super efficient in higher boost levels.

Still... 20+ psi should have you well over 400 hp on a DECENTLY tuned engine. 350 hp is attainable at less than 1 bar with excellent tuning.

You have the plug and play version from mark at phantom motorsports right? I got this a few months back and got the base map that he provided, and retuned the car to run on that map with 720cc injectors. If you have a wideband you can do it yourself, it really isnt that hard. You only have 20 fuel tables to tune, it isnt that bad. The map that he gave you is good till about 16-18psi, but the timing will have to be backed out a little bit to make things safe.

If you need help with tuning it i can try and be of assistance.

I have HAltech e6k with 3 Bar map sensor boosting 21 psi for short periods. Safe boost is 17psi on 9:1 B18C6 Euro-spec ITR engine.

To DC from ames, iowa is about a 14 hour drive. I'm doing it this weekend, if you want to caravan back let me know. I think payntech would be considerably closer for you and they are good tuners also.

Yeah, he uses a Hondata.

Regardless of what his estimate was, Isaac is a really good tuner. maybe he's just being conservative with those numbers he gave you. I think he surprises himself a lot, anyways.
