Default TSX w/ nitrous. what ignition control?

Hello all,

I currently have an 04 TSX with a forged piston/rods/arp headstuds k24a2 (12.5 compression) about to be retuned on Prayoonto Stage 4 3 lobe cams. Next step for my build is a direct port nitrous kit (purchased already). I have an upgraded fuel pump going in as well.

I'm currently tuned on Flashpro but Flashpro does not have nitrous control parameters unfortunately and Kpro is not an option for the TSX unless using dual ECU setup and losing daily functions.

I'm on the fence of sticking with Flashpro + AEM F/IC unit or Try the Ktuner 04-06 TSX plug and play ECU board with Ktuner End user board installed.

AEM F/IC I'm looking at

https://ktuner.com/0406tsx/

My friend suggested to keep cost down use the AEM controller piggybacked to my all motor tune just for nitrous control. The cost of the AEM FIC is around $450. The Ktuner option would open up a lot more features much like Kpro has and allowing nitrous control internal to the ECU (my preferred method) but comes with a cost of around $800 shipped (with bluetooth). I cold sell my flashpro and ecu to make some money back.

What is the best route to take here? Are there cheaper solutions to this? This is my daily / street car not all out race car. I'm not trying to break the bank on this BUT I want the most reliable and simplistic system to control nitrous. The last resort would be to have all motor as my primary tune and nitrous on the aux tune on flashpro and upload when needed but that takes a while to do and I'm not fond of reflashing all the time just to use nitrous. I want to activate and go.

KTuner sounds like it's going to be the most straightforward and well integrated option. Bonus that you have a FlashPro to unload and recover some of the cost.

Yeah it really seems like I may have to just make the jump and be better off in the long run. I guess if decide to go turbo I will already have all the great features i'd want anyway ya know. Thanks for some input.

I would go k tuner and sell the flashpro. I haven’t done nitrous control on k tuner but I have tuned a built all motor tax on it and it’s allot like kpro. Kpro’s nitrous control works great, one thing I really like is the maximum knock count while spraying allows the ecu to shut it down real quick if something goes wrong.

Exactly the reason I want ecu control. Im going to go that route bc it just seems like a better option all around. Like you said I can make some money back on Flashpro and it will even the price out a bit for me.

Ive used nitrous control on s300 and it was perfect. Simple and reliable. Thanks for your response.
