TSX turbo?
ive been out of the scene for awhile due to a stolen car, (RIP boosted accord) and now i wanna get back into it. ive been thinking about buying a TSX or a EVO. i like the looks of the tsx but i like the performance of an evo. right now im leaning towards the evo. but if there was a turbo kit out there with little or now modification then id purchase the tsx hands down. so my question is, is there anycompnay out there that makes a bolt on turbo kit for the tsx??????
Not bolt on, but there are one or 2 fabbed up in MI and in the south. It can be done, but several things have to be taken care of.
1) If the model year is after 05, they went by a Drive-by-wire system instead of a throttle cable. A throttle cable has to be retrofitted in order for Hondata K-Pro to work with the system.
2) K pro can be used with the system, and the K-motor has a lot of power potential. choose wisely..
I'm working on mine next year.

In the Jan 2005 issue of Honda Tuning, theres a turbo TSX owned by Dazz Motorsports built by HKS-370 whp and 306 ft lbs.HKS say they have no plans to marker the kit, unless theres alot of interest in it.More info here:

They were actually drive by wire since day one, they never used a throttle cable in the tsx. So that would be a problem for all years.

get the evo................. put a boost controller and minor things and if it breaks take off the boost controller and go get your warranty....nothing would be worse then sitting there with a turbo and broken tsx with a blown motor, no warranty, and massive $$$ in payments

I stand corrected, I thought it was only the last 2 production years..

Yeah, get the insurance too.... I know a couple of guys over 30 that have good insurance and still have over 600 bucks additional in coverage..
No one will ever guess that a TSX has a turbo.. Evos get fucked with all the time. Went through that dilemna 4 months ago when I got my TSX. Had the Evo keys in my hand and about to get the paperwork.. Then I got wise. XM, handsfree, VIP, and good looks, I can make a little power later.

IMO an evo is way too much $$$, and the tsx is a great bang for the buck (something even i am looking in to) just get the tsx and make it look pretty and build a project on the side so you dont fck around with your daily. just my 2 cents
