Default Tranny Problems

I was at my local garage over the weekend performing a compression test when I heard a fluttering noise coming from the engine bay. I had the tranny "rebuilt of repaired" less than six months ago by the dealership. They said that there was a problem with the bearings which explained the loud grinding noise I heard before. Now the noise is very faint but none the less it sounds like the same noise just not as loud. I know if I continue driving the car particularly hard the noise is going to get louder. I planned on turboing my car Garrett T3 Starion Front Mount DSM 450 Hondata S200b Thermal exhaust but now I'm faced with a differnt dilemma. I was wondering if anyone in here has rebuilt there tranny for boost characteristics and if so what foritified parts they used. I was thinking about calling up ProDrive and ordering new Bearings and Seals. Problem is I'm not sure how to replace the stock with aftermarket. Any suggestions. Oh yes I also have the D16Y8 motor a friend of mine said that tranny is good for boost, but I was thinking of getting the tranny replaced or rebuilt. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME DECIDE.

I would just get another d series transmission with lower miles and no abuse on it, d series parts are usually dime a dosen now days...

i'd just get another used one. my z6 is on its second tranny and the first one went out before i was even boosted. i got the second one cheap from a friend and went turbo a week or two later. haven't had any problems. just go easy on it. the more perfect you drive the less your tranny will complain. good luck. you can prob find another tranny for 100-250. i wouldnt pay more than that tho

stick with the z6 or y8 tranny (any ex/si). best gearing and thy're still tall enough for boost. cx/dx are wayy too long
