Mfactory, Liberty, there are a bunch of aftermarket gear suppliers.

You might be better off posting in transmission section. or searching... I'm sure this has been covered numerous times.

Ht search sucks ***.

Liberty only makes a bog dox as does ppg
So is mfactory the only one that makes a streetable gear set?

What "gearing" do you want? It's not just plug and play. Each combination has its own uses designed for drag strip and street use. Hate to say it, but since you haven't stated real goal or researched gear ratios themselves, you'd be surprised on how well the stock one works.

i have looked at the ratios and im sooooo lost. i think i need some thing close to a gsr maybe with a longer 5th. the car is mostly for the street but even on 600whp on the street stock trannys blow up all the time.and i want the tranny to stand up to so mid 10s at the track and still get me home

as for the liberty face plating i think that is for the dog box only

thnaks for the input. keep it coming

i believe they have a faceplating "process" for the stock gears. so basically you have a helical cut dog box with stock gears.

there is a thread around here where there are plenty of pictures of this.

Don't know how you're blowing them up. that is interesting. But you're close to needed a good dog box anyway. most "mid 10s" believe it or not use stock gears.

there are alot of guys in my area that have mid to low 10s cars they drive on the street and most end up buying 4-5 trannys/gears a summer. i would rather spend some $$$ this winter then spend the summer watching ppl race.i jsut dont want to be thinking all the time if this will be the run that my tranny blows up on.i know there are some ppl that some how get away with running stock tranny and stock axels but most will kill stock tranny after stock tranny.most of the time the teeth shear right of the gear.i know some ppl around hear have tried cryoed/heat treted gears but no luck.

i dont think face plating will help as it not the seyncro failing its the gear its self.

Faceplating is the process of turning the stock gear's synchro engagement into dog engagement. The customer wants a street car (i.e retain synchro engagement), so this is not what he requires. If, however, he wants dog engagement on a budget (< $1k I believe?), then this could be a good option.

We have a synchro gear set suitable for both street and track, yes.
