Default touch screen tuning?

Hey guys. I've been reading this forum for a few years. I have found every bit of information to completely build my car, and am almost finished, but have finally found a reason to post. I am looking into tuning software now, and am thinking Hondata. I am also planning on purchasing a tablet that converts to a laptop, and is running Windows 8. (The full version, not RT) Does anyone have the expertise or experience to know if Hondata will work on touchscreen? And if not, is there a software that will work? Thanks in advance guys!

a question like this will need to be asked by the developers of hondata, which would be hondata.com

windows 8 is new and who knows if the program can even work with it

I would have to agree check with Hondata for compatibility.

Ya make sure the Hondata software is compatible, and as long as you have a USB input on the computer and it's compatible, then it should work. The touch screen should work with it, but it might make it kind of annoying.

I tried it but its practically useless. It should work just fine though. Since it has nothing to do with the software. Like every version of windows in the last ten years win 8 has a compatibility mode so I seriously doubt you will have any issues. In the end when its more trouble then its worthget a $100 Dell on eBay for tuning.

Also something to keep in mind is touch screens are notorious for ghost touching. So pay very close attention to changes you didn't make.

Thats true...thats why i havent converted to touch screen of anything that requires complex scenarios. Simple operations and touch screen is OK.

wow guys, i appreciate the info! i had spoken to a tech at Hondata, and he basically said it might work, but wasn't sure. i figured i would ask the REAL professionals lol. Alright, so as long as i can run the thing with a mouse and keyboard, the tablet should be ok, and if not, i can get a netbook for cheap to replace. thanks for everything!
