Top Mount intercooler for SC
so i have been looking up on jackson racing superchargers and i was just wondering, my friend has a 05 mini cooper s and he is running about 20 psi on stock engine and he also has a top mount intercooler. i was just wondering how the mini can run an intercooler on a roots style blower and us with hondas are not able to. can anyone make sense of this and help me out or anyone have any ideas on this thanks for the time....

Re: Top Mount intercooler for SC (fergs96integra)
The underlying problem is that the SC bolts to the intake manifold, while a turbo bolts to the exhaust manifold. So it's easy to put a tube to an IC between the turbo and the intake manifold, while it requires some custom fabrication to squeeze an IC in between the SC and the intake manifold. The LHT setup works well (I run one), and others have figured out ways to duct the air from the SC out to a FMIC, although that method doesn't address the heat-soak issue associated with a JRSC setup like the LHT setup does.
