Default timing question

How much of a role does timing play in a turbo car's ability to make horsepower? Can retarding timing too much affect horsepower or turbo spool time? Also is a t3/t4e with a .60 trim too large for a stock(for now) b16a2?

thats kinda dumb question but anyways . Timing affects how much power you make throughout any power band. Retarding timing based on boost level is very good idea in that it prevents detonation. When running advanced timing you will make more power but prone to detonation. And too much retard is not a good thing also. It causes all kinds of cooling issues.

You really best bet is to tune your car to best timing possible while making the most hp safely.

I appreciate you answering my "kinda dumb question". I don't know it all like you do that's why I asked the question. Have a blessed day.
