Default timing on a new head gasket

I just switched to a 3mm greddy head gasket...now my car is overheating....is it a timing issue? Should I advance my timing more than before? Its the strangest thing...my car will run perfectly then about twenty minutes into tuning the damn thing overheats? I am confused....never hit more than 12.5 on the lamda, runs a little rich when not boosting but my EGTS are between 8-10 fro normal driving and dont move under boost...I confused

Stock d16
t3 intercooled
dont know what else to include...I'm running 10 PSI with the new head gasket
Vortec FMU (dont think its the fuel though) had it on lambda the whole time...
thanks for you help.
its not coolant, I have filled that thing about 10 times because of alll the overheating (using blead valve every time)

Does it take a long time to warm up ? Is the engine bay itself very hot ?

maybe you installed the hg wrong and coolant isn't flowing to the right places.

Holy ****, 3mm headgasket, that's almost an eighth of an inch. Hmmm I think a thicker head gasket = more timing advance, have to retard timing to compensate.
3mm divided by 50mm timing gear radius = 0.06 radians or 3.44 degrees timing advance (compared to a zero thickness headgasket, don't know what stock thickness is)
