thoughts on alky injection
ok my car makes 378whp now with a .57 trim turbonetics turbo at 17lbs and built bottom intake manifold love fab sidewinder tial 38mm etc etc and stock head. in the next month or so i will be putting itr cams in vavletrain in with a port and polish. i am thinking about putting meth injection on but what do you think i could put the boost up too and how much of a benifit would it be. i am sure it would be a lot considering you could do a much more aggressive tune. which kit would you recommond, i want something with a controller and a fial safe. thanks

Alcohol injection is basically like race gas. The only problem is that when it's all said and done, race gas is cheaper, and you don't need to rely on a fancy system to make sure you are running methanol injection safely.

I have no experience with alchy injection, but I know for some reason subaru owners are big into them, as well as alot of domestics. You may be able to get some good info from them on what kits are good. And i know I saw a thread about certain kits here not too long ago.

I'm not sure how you can get that racegas is cheaper. Alky kits are setup to only turn on under boost so it is like being able to run racegas boost and timing and pump gas in the tank. Where I live methanol at the track is cheaper than 93.
An evo I installed alky on had all the boltons + a gt35r before alky was able to run 21 psi on pump. After we turned it up to 27-28ish w/ no signs of knock. The limiting factor was the stock block not fuel. So bottom line if you want to be able to run racegas settings with out spending $4+ a gallon all the time do it.
We used the AMS (Alkycontrol) kit. It seemed really nice. A lot of the supra guys use that kit also.

(Insert hammer to head image) My setup has cost me like $350 all said and done. I could go through that real quick in race gas.

ALKY IS THE SICKEST THING IN LIFE,
u can run 91 tune then when the boost gets to a place where it would detonate on ur setup, u turn the alky on, (or a bit earlier) and then just continue tuning with the alky in mind.
its the best thing that keeps combustion temperatures so low thats how it changes the detonation threshold.
