Default Thoughts on 2 A1000's vs 1.

Ok, later this year my setup will exceed the power goals of one aeromotive a1000 fuel pump. I have the opportunity to get one cheap, i am running a fuel cell with dual outlets, so i could run each outlet to its own pump, but plumbing them back in might be a challenge... i could bring them back into one large line (already have 10-an, might step to 12)

chances are i will be running two sets of injectors (2 rails) so i could just have each pump feed one rail and bring them both back into one regulator (aeromotive...again)

thoughts?

because in order for me to get the car painted/powdercoated i have to have everything mocked up and the work already done; im ont going to be doing fab work on a car that has had fresh paint/powder coat laid down/ besides. its about 2 months from being re assembled, as soon as i get the mock up done and get the body work finished

get the car running with the current pump, when you make too much power, swap it for an eliminator, they are the same size and easy to trade. 2 pumps = pita

Dual outlets to two A1000's then feed 1 to each side of the rail with a central return line in the middle of the rail. I've seen it done but dont think it was on a honda.

how come noone runs the smaller pumps?

http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs...Id=-1

those bigger pumps overheat and burn out....if i can make 655 on a 255 in tank i dont see why you would need such a big pump

i dont think an eliminator will be big enough, honestly. to feed 2 sets of 1600cc injectors and a direct port kit

We have the eliminator on a friends car making about 1100 RWHP through an automatic. In a FWD honda that would likely be in the ~1300 WHP range.

If you think you're serious about needing more than an eliminator, you need to start thinking about some bigass pumps to feed methanol, because you will never max out an aeromotive eliminator on a gasoline 4 cylinder honda.

yea, for the most part its gonna be vp race fuel (either c16 or import, just need to see which one i can get cheaper) and then for the 1320 (rarely) it would be methanol. which is why i thought two a1000s would be ok, but im really open to ideas

the only reason its takiong me along time to get my car ready is bodywork and the suspension, brake stuff. i didnt just build a motor to put in my car, i rebuilt the whole car

im stripping the car, putting in a cage and i have to find someone thats a decent painter in my area (which there are basically 0)

if i push it to far i build it again. back on topic....

Skip the eliminator, get the Aeromotive Pro-series. Flows more than 1000 lbs. per hour @ 13.5Volts and 45 PSI. Good for 1400hp.

yea, i was looking at the pro-series, but im worried about feeding it constant voltage, id have to imagine that pump pulls massive current

you dont want two a1000s. if you need more than an a1000 can push out (i am making 790whp and 610 ft lb in my civic without dropping fuel pressure on a single a1000) the next logical step is the eliminator pump..

are the pump controllers worth it?

so just make sure to have adequate sized wiring and i should be good? the last thing i want is a high dollar pump burning out because of voltage fluctuation
