Default Those of you with A'PEXi filters....

How and hell do you get it to fit? It looks like I need some sort of flange/adaptor in order to make it fit the filter inlet. Thet provided the gaskets for the flange, but no flange and well, I don't know where or how I could get it. Anyone?

You didnt' get the flange section? Mine came in a box with a 2.5" tube that had the flange on the end that bolted to the filter. I had my pipe hacked though so it could be used w/ my custom intake pipe. You can kinda see teh flange in this pic:

Nope, i didn't get that flange section. I bought it used but still new in box from user "silverlude" or something like that, and I thought it had everything i needed, guess not.

What apexi dealer can get me this piece?

yeah you need the flange..the filter has four bots and a gasket to screw up on the flange..if you have a drag kit you will need a reducer, 3inch to 2.5..thats how mine worked..it fits perfectly under my hood cuz the filter is not a big as other ones..

If you buy the filter as a "universal" kit it will have the 3" inlet correct?

I just bought one, but i basically just assumed it had a 3" inlet. Just wanna make sure is all.

The universal filter doesn''t come with a flange. You get a flange if you buy one of A'PEXi's application-specific intakes. If you get the universal one, you can fab up a flange like this:

That sounds about right. I bought one for a GSR for $50 at the first APEXi garage sale. It was made to be used with the stock intake piping but I needs my bling so I put a shiny stick on there. See, look:

Dann engine bay don't got no turbo yet.

So I will need to fab up something like the white peice on the filter? Or are you just talking about the 45deg elbow?

What will I need to make the white peice? (if I need to)
