Default Thinking about Re-Using Eagle H-beam Rods...??

I have a set of Eagle H-beam rods in an allmotor B20vtec setup which has probably 6-7,000miles on it @ 200whp, and I am wanting more power. I want to put together another built block, but for boost this time, and in an effort to possibly save some money, I was thinking about just re-using the Eagle rods and changing out the high compression forged pistons for some mid-lower compression forged pistons (from 12:1 to around 9.5-10:1), which I was looking for between 400-500whp. Does anyone have experience with doing this?

Of course you can reuse them. Its not a wear item unless its damaged. If you want to be thorough take them to your machine shop and have them inspected for straightness, roundness and balance.

i think i have had my eagle h beams since like 2006. ive re used them in at least 3 or 4 engines in that time frame. as muckman said, you can always have a machine shop look them over as i did. a new set of rodbolts will give you additional peace of mind for less than 100 bucks

like blackeg, I'm using mines since 2009 in two different engines without problem. The last time I take it to check the round for peace of mind.

The eagles in my car have been running in a few different setups for about 7-8 years now, all over 400whp

oh, awesome. glad to hear positive feedback on re-using them. Looks like I made the right choice getting Eagles. the allmotor setup was my first actual forged internals bottom end ive ever had, which is where my question came from. lol.
