Thicker head gasket or no?
Cometic and InlinePro both have 3mm head gaskets...
Is it better when to get one of these and run a stock compression engine or is it better to keep the stock gasket and get lower compression pistons?

Either way would be good, I have a cometic and it works pretty good but I think I would honestly spend the money to get the low com pistons.

Re: Thicker head gasket or no? (jinxproof99)
im taking daily driven
i dont care about race gas and **** because when i see a car on the road (not that i street race or anything ), I dont want to be running out of my car and pouring in some octane booster.
Im going FI with pistons and rings, so should I keep stock compression pistons in the situation that I need to take the turbo off for some stupid reason

Well stock compression on the b18c isnt that high as it is so if you get forged pistons staying around the same compression will be fine. You'll make a little more power and spool faster.

but then i need a really good tunner to be able to tune it so there is no detonation, right?
and in your set up, do you suggest getting the thicker gasket or no?

definitely go the piston route if you seriously plan on making 350whp. at fmax we produced 350whp @15psi on a stock b16 but it only lasted a few runs. melted a piston.

i wouldn't drop a street driven gsr any lower than 9.5:1... but i'm sure many would disagree with me. i went 10:1
