Icon2 Are these pistons appropriate for my setup?

Wiseco k567m84

http://www.ebay.com/itm/WISECO-PISTO...-/330590797638

My setup will be :

B18 Sleeved to 84mm
LS crank
LS rods
B16 Head
OEM head gasket
Water methanol injection (50/50)
60 trim turbo, possibly a bigger one, un sure yet
Goal will be 500WHP, or more.

After reading this reference site
http://www.wiseco.com/Catalogs/Sport...AcuraHonda.pdf

I believe Ive concluded my compression will be ~11.3 with my setup. I am wondering if I am correct, or completely wrong.

Anyways, I purchased these pistons locally, brand new in box, new rings too. If I can't or shouldn't use them, I will simply sell them.

Any information will be appreciated!

I'd say a touch high C/R a whole point higher than "typical" for a pump gas setup.
Methanol is a less than idea situation.
I assume you know your going to need aftermarket rods.

If you decide to sell the pistons please let me know I have a friend who will buy them for use in a turbo B16

I have eagle rods, I said LS in regards to rod length.

Ask your friend what hes willing to pay for them, I have no problem selling them for the right price.

Muckman is at 13.5:1. Tony the Tiger haven doing 10.5:1+ cr bulls for years. What is it specifically you need to know?

You do realize you need to upgrade the piston wrist pins when getting the higher CR pistons, right?

So...how are you planning on getting those pistons on your stock rods? Press vs floating wrist pins. Also, 500 on stock rods? Yeah, have fun with that.

Says eagle rods in my sig, plus I said "ls rods" in regards to length of rod, so whoever is helping me can calculate the correct compression. Plus, I answered this above.

So the wrist pins I got with these wiseco piston won't work? What do I need?

The standard wrist pin bends.. You must not have seen Muckman's build about that.

here's the link to that part of the build
https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...086196&page=22

More of his thoughts, and what he learned from Higher CRs
https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...086196&page=24

S733 wristpins are what you'll need. Its an upgrade to the standard pin so expect to pay about $70 or so more.
It's Wiseco Piston Pin- 21 x 50.8 x 9.57mm
SW 9310 Piston Pin

Wiseco doesn't include the tapered pin in this piston, Muckman had some old stock or a different piston. These pistons include the S656 pin which wiseco recommends for use up to 600hp.

Call weisco ask them for the dome thickness on top of the piston and let them know your goals, some high compression pistons have thinner domes than turbo pistons.

Wiseco pins are a true std. Pin so be aware of that with your boost application. Big question here is what's the silicone content on them. Besides the relationship between expansion and piston to wall clearances you will have to factor in the different heat range you will see.

My stock s2000 engine is at 11.0:1 compression and I have been turbo for many many years with no problem. Boosting 14psi on 91 octane making 442whp.
