Default Thermal Efficiency

I'm looking to paint my intercooler but do not want to affect the thermal efficiency of whats goin on. What can I do? I'm thinking about masking off the fins and painting the bars and endtanks. Is there a paint available for such a duty? Any ideas?

this has been a frequent argument for a while.

Some say don't do it, some say they've tested and it's negligible.

I'm going to say anything on top of the aluminum is going to have a detrimental effect, regardless. I'd say, do what ever you want, but I wouldn't paint my IC.

just like comapnies make thermal coatings that keep heat in, some companies make coatings that help shed head, i would look into that if you wanna paint it.

I'm looking to hide it, so thats why I am asking... Maybe using a black grill? Stop more light going in might help.

that'll usually do it.

I kept the stock grille on my 350z and nobody could tell there was a massive spearco intercooler in there. Until the *** kicking began, rofl.
