Default Tapping oil return

Has anyone tapped their oil return on an H22 Aluminum oil pan. I was surprised to see my stock pan is aluminum. Was going to buy a moroso pan but with my ATTS it doesn't look like I have room. Any leak problems with tapping the pans or is it better to have a bung welded on?

mine's not an H22, but it is aluminum. I would definitely weld a bung into aluminum. the pan wall isnt that thick, and aluminum is soft enough you may pull the threads out.
Welding is leak proof.

We always weld a bung on, this way if you ever take the turbo off you just plug it up.

i think externally threaded bung is the best way to go if room permits.

I'm using a bulkhead fitting on my oil pan. No welding, and has never leaked a drop. Cheap and easy to install, and hassle free.
