T3 turbo question...do i plug this?
its a vacuum source for the internal gate that came on that turbo origionally.
you can either get a rubber vacuum cap from the parts store or get a plug for it. its probably 1/8" NPT but might be 1/4" NPT hard to tell from the pics and hardware stores or parts store usually have them.

I plugged mine with a 1/8" NPT plug, then used a vacuum source off the manifold for the WG. Boost ends up being 1/2 pis greater, and is now steady regardless of weather or heatsoak.

wow, first person Ive ever heard do that...
85% of turbos have the boost source for the wastegate right on the housing...
I use the pipe right off the turbo for the wastegate...

ya, factory turbos tend to use that for a boost source. it doesn't work well once you start changing ****. In the aftermarket world, flip your 85% and you're close. even if a turbo does have that port i wont use it. especially with low tech boost control. I do have limited experience, but I have setup a few boost control systems and my experience says get it from the IM and save time diagnosing problems later.

it doesnt matter really but depending on how shitty your intercooler is you might see 1-2 psi difference from what your wastegate spring is set at to what your actually seeing in the manifold due to pressure drop.
