The oddball magnet is located right on the "0" on the cam gear.

I bought them and sent them to Tony. You just have to make sure and get the GE gears, as most cam gears don't have a thick enough rim to mount the magnets in.

It used to be free. Just spoke with a few individuals sending their boxes in and AEM now charges a $30 fee just for opening the box. Then theres another fee for the parts and labor depending on the job. Their great customer service just seemed to go out the window since their forum was hacked .

you're asking them to do modify the ems to do something that specific one wasnt designed to do.. yeah they SHOULD charge to do it.. you gota pay to play. I dont do it for free, neither should they..

Haha, well, on a motec it's just a matter of changing the configuration, no soldering involved. I know where you're going though. Most of Motec's upgrades aren't even available on most aem's. Can't really compare the two.

you're comparing a 1200$ecu to one that could potentially cost $10000. I'm sure they could build all those settings into it so they were software controled, but then it wouldnt be a $1200 system would it? The ems is designed to plug in and work with the stock ****, so why should htey even consider making it work with non stock stufF?

Mine does that unless I enable "Wasted Spark", set S3 to OFF on a C2DI.

I can't tell the difference with it off or on on my setup, but JDogg could tell you for sure. I think in wasted spark mode it just fires two coils at once instead of one. The extra sparks will be "wasted", but I don'tnow if it will affect the tune.

s3 tells the tach output if you are firing every 180 deg or every 360 deg

I forgot to add the wiring for the obd2b cars...

and also, it was brought to my attention. someone tried using the instructions using single coils not individuals.

the write up i did was for individual coils, ill make another note of that in the instructions as well
