Was wanting to do a new motor setup for an ls
I was just curious though,
Would an ls be any good supercharged?
My original plan was to just boost the ls but I just wanted to see if anyone
Knows of an ls making good numbers being supercharged?

 

Ls with a b16/type r head will make excellent power. The ls has a nice long stroke. Will tell you exactly how much in a few weeks. Just rebuilt my b16b with LS crank and rods with b18c5 pistons, stock ctr head with JRSC running about 11psi. Tuner has had a similar setup put down 270-280 hp

 

Oh okayy nice its bcuz I already have an ls in my 96 civic coupe n I really want to do something diff.
A JRSC was exactly my plan on what to do.
That setup you have seems like its going to get you great numbers I can't wait till your finished!

 

If you already have the supercharging setup then sure but if not then why not go with a turbo setup that's much more efficient?

 

True a turbo would yield more power with a lot less psi. But I prefer superchargers, don't know why just do lol.

I understand that with a good turbo setup I would probably make more power. .
But supercharging is somethinf I wanna try haha just to try it

Are they reliable tho? Or would they be about the same as a turbo?
