If you decided to go sc i would deffinately look into a procharger setup. That way you have an ic to drop those charge temps.

An acquaintance of mine has a RSX-S with the Race Spec JRSC running 5lbs boost, using 440cc injectors and a JR Tuned/Hondata flashed ECU.

K20a Didgets:

Type Inline-4; Aluminum head and block
Valvetrain DOHC 4-valve/cyl.; i-VTEC
Displacement [cc] 1998
Bore & Stroke [mm] 86.0 x 86.0
Compression Ratio 11.0:1
Redline [rpm] 7900
Max. Power [Bhp at rpm] 200 at 7400
Max. Torque [lb-ft (Nm) at rpm] 142 (192) at 6000
Bhp/Liter 100.1

No intercooler! He's showing 268 fwhp on paper.

THIS is the way to go!

Power to weight ratio for a typical EG -- 2320 x 285 whp = 8.14
Power to weight ratio for a typical RSX-S 2767 x same 285 = 9.71

Apples to apples, the lighter car/same horsepower wins.

My only Q is why he didn't go straight out to the front to get forced air to the intake? 90 degree angle or not.

looks like he removed the headlight, and it probly only cost him $20 to make that intake. Not bad for a $5000+ swap. I would just fab some ITB's and get a stand alone ECU

Not everyone wants to live in a 'Vanilla' world.

As far as the being the premier authority on K20a swaps, I am not. But I am a fast study.

K20 to (typical) EG swap.

You will need;

Mount kit
Header 4-1 equal length
pnp harness 350
SS fuel lines Guage incl
clutch lines
Str fuel rail
axels with cores *Rsx Cores or Gsr

Consider too, that you will have to 'rethink' the length of your b-pipe to meet the down-pipe of the header. Along with other things not listed.

One of K20EG's installs

Plan to spend, not only the price of you car, but about 7500.00 (+/-) on the engine swapage, (mounts, trans, axles, reconfiguring all linkage, et.al., etc.), ECU management systems and bits to have it flow with no failures.

Wait a few years for prices to come down and for the NEW to calm down.

The biggest obstacle will be the lack of off-the-shelf, high-performance parts. Anybody wishing to build up the internals of their K engine will simply have to wait for those parts to fill the pipeline.

Unless you have endless amounts of cash, the best bang for the buck still belongs to the B series engines.

IMPORTANT READ;

The K series engines spin clockwise, like most other engines, and as a result they sit on the right side of the engine bay. In order to make one basic engine bay that would fit both a left-side and a right-side engine, Honda had to do a little bit of clever engineering. The transmission side of the engine in each car attaches directly to the frame using a beefy engine mount, which bolts to the tranny case. The pulley-side mount bolts to a "box" that is welded to the frame. The problem is that the "box" is on the right side of the engine bay in the RSX, Type-S, Si and CR-V, and on the left side in the EM Civics. Dimensionally, there isn't much of a problem. The K engines should fit into the Civic engine bay just fine without any clearance issues. Getting it to bolt in place, however, will require some tricky mounts. To top it all off, you'll have to drop in the K20 transmission and driveshafts as well.
