I am going to buy a b18b soon I was pondering super charging or turbo. I dont know what i want to do becuase my friend has full internals on an SI and he got a jackson racing supercharger, he runs 14.6 i will be able to that with just a motor in my hatch, so please let me know what you guys think thanks

 

the only supercharger u should throw on a B18B is a Vortech. the Jackson's make **** power on that motor for the price u pay.

Get a turbo

 

i know some people can make good #'s on PAPER with their SC's...but if u arent going to do auto-x or rally (anthing with turns that require instant throttle) then go turbo..i went the SC route before and it didnt MAKE ANY HP!! i shouldve just gotten a nitrous kit and run faster times for 1/4 of the price..

if u want a constant low hp ride, go SC..

if u want REAL, RAW, HEAD JERKING, GF scaring, friends impressing power, go TURBO!!!!!

 

If you do go with a JRSC, then look into modifying a B16/B18C5 JRSC to fit on your LS. It has been done before by quite a few people and with worthwhile results. GreekSpeed on Superhonda recently did this modification and was pleased with it. The M45 blower they use on the LS kit is weak, if you go JRSC at least use the M62 on the B16/B18C5 kits... You might look into reworking your head so you can safely rev to 8k or so, superchargers love high revving engines - so its another thing to look into. I would just turbo a non-vtec honda engine though...
