Default street turbo setup

okay
i want to turbo my car. although i dont know much about it at all.
and i have one BIG. question that will make my decision if i ever go turbo.
i know how a turbo works but i could never put my own turbo setup together, know what im doing, etc.

is there a way to have a nice, reliable turbo setup on the street...that i wont have to do anything to? other than like general maintenence? thats reliable at around 7-8 psi.
i dont want something that will have problems that ill always have to fix because i probably wouldnt know how to fix it.
could a shop do a turbo setup for me and tune it on chrome? and id have a nice street setup thats reliable and doesnt need work?

thanks for any replies.

If you build a setup out of quality parts and dont skimp on the tuning, you'll have a completely reliable setup. I dont do any more than general maintenance on my car...pm me if you want details on the setup. Its a stock GSR as well....some details in sig

When you up the power of your car/motor by 200% or in some cases more.. you will always reduce reliability. It's really on the installers part and setup.

IE. if you use gear clamps you may have couplers blowing off all the time (which I hate) so if you spend a little extra on t-bolt clamps you'll rarely have a coupler pop off (at low psi that is) Any explain is oil lines. If the guy installs them right and gets all new lines and doesnt hack anything up, it probably wont leak. But if you buy used fittings dont use any sealant/tape or over-tq you may have a few leaks on your hands.
