Straight pipe on Turbo SOHC...
I have Greddy Turbo kit on my 98 Civic.. It is SOHC motor.. I have a friend told me that straight pipe help the turbo spool quicker and gain horsepower.. I wondering is it true.. Also, should I take the civic stock pipe to the muffler shop to make it straight pipe.. Oh yeah I have N1 catback and so let me know what is the best way to make straight pipe.. THanks

true less back pressure will help the turbo spool faster but you want a little back presure. I would not go straight pipe. look into a nicley designed 3" system, 2.5 to 3" dp if you want to keep your ac

you are confusing me... just get a high-flow cat. convertor and if you want, get a thermal r&d 3" exhaust system from the cat to the muffler. or get a custom mandrel bent one. no, crush bent is not okay. no, 3 inch is not too big.
