Storing a turbo?
Hi, so im the process of building an engine to boost. However all of my turbo stuff is still on my car. Is it ok to leave everything on the car for the winter? Will there be any damage to the turbo if I just leave it on the car?
Thanks

To make a long story short, I used a turbo, let it sit for a few months (cold side filled with water), then stored for a year. Its now sitting on my new setup, which has to be stored for this winter. It worked fine, I just had to clean up the water 'damage'.
So worst-case scenerio, you'll just have to brush/flush the turbo. I'd also spray it down with a rust-inhibitor. I have special stuff from mcmaster, but IIRC a PB Blaster product would work, and I've heard Jigaloo works well too. WD-40 evaporated, as well as disolves/thins any oil it hits inside the housing.
