First off, since I am the first to reply it is my obligation to tell you to USE THE RED SEARCH BUTTON ON THE TOP RIGHT CORNER.

But it is Halloween so heres my opinion :with 2-3k to spend you can def hit 300whp+ all thought at 122k miles i would recommend a rebuild on the block to prevent future problems. A leak down and compression check is a must also. To give you a ball park on power, my LSVTEC set up is very simple. Bone stock B18a1 block with GSR head, 3" down pipe straight to muffler, RC440 injectors, cheap OBX manifold holding a t3/t4 turbo> dyno 280whp at 10psi on a modest tune. Thats just a ball park range. Power will depend on engines condition and size/type of turbo.

Now you to can have the joy of a 300whp honda but only if you convert your auto to a manual. Now you could boost your AUTO but things WILL BREAK. good luck

Do the LS/VTEC, but wait on the turbo setup. You simply DO NOT have the money to do it properly. The LS/VTEC is going to cost around $800-1000 after the oil line kit, headgasket and head itself; therefore, you only have $1-2k to build a turbo setup...good luck. At this point you would also need to convert auto-manual.

Just hold off until you have enough money to build a good setup on your car. Also, since you live in California (aka the worst state in the nation for modifying your car) you're going to have to buy a certain CARB legal kit or face failing emissions testing and inspection...
