Default Stock head sufficent?

I am building up my h22a4 for boost and dropping it into an 88 crx. Ive heard that stock head is fine and probably the best to use for turbo. the h22 i have is blown i need to replace the valves adn cams. would the type s cams and valvetrain be good to use??

Default Re: Stock head sufficent? (mugen99sh)

The stock head is good for about 500hp from what I've heard. Personally I started out with a stock head and built bottom end and had no problem. I ended up blowing a head gasket and since the head was off I decided to send the head off to port flow and have everything up graded but I'm still using stock cams. hope that helps.
