Default Sticking Throttle Body??

Its a STR 70mm TB.

The cable has about 2mm of slack in it, and what happens, when the car is hot only, If i drive it a bit.. havent boosted really at all yet.. still untuned (have wb02 hooked up) once it gets hot, if say i take it up to 3000rpm and shift, just driving easy. The throttle likes to stick open, not a whole lot.

When its hot, i can get out of the car, and push it shut, and it idles back normal again.. My cable is not sticky, and the TB is new, spring is lubed etc..

Any ideas what could be sticky on it? Possibly the butterfly is too big?

Help me out here.

Yes im using a JG intake manifold.. I dont think this is causing my sticking problem.

I would like to get to the bottom of this.. I will play with it tommorow, post my results. I may just put the stocker back on for now.

mine was sticking slightly and now the shaft is broken at the first screw that holds the throttle plate.

have you checked the throttle stop screw? if it's too low, the plate will bind against the tb inside housing (butterfly) and will cause some sticking. the proper adjsutment is unscrew the screw till the plate doesn;t touch it, then slowly screw it back in till it touches the plate stopper section. once there turn the screw 1/2-3/4 of a turn and it's set. it will stop the binding IF that is your issue.

That was the issue with my old Edelbrock 75mm TB, it eventually snapped the shaft that holds the plate and fed my motor a little screw that chewed up my valves/seats. I pay attention to the throttle stop screw now.
