stealth turbo kit? how to?
I remember seeing tony the tiger's thread on his car a while back and have been wondering if it's possible to hide a turbo kit to those who don't know what to look for.....
How would you keep the bov from being too loud and audible by another vehicle? Can you recirculate it into your exhaust stream or something?
Paint intercooler black, or run a fender mounted one - or air to water one...?
But what about the sound of the turbo spooling, etc?
And what happens when you pop the hood?
Mount bov in fenderwell also?
Hide turbo under "oem heat shield"?
Thoughts?

Re: stealth turbo kit? how to? (Black R)
-BOV get one that doesn't amplify sound and plumb it back into your IC piping . A stock 1G DSM BOV might be good
-HEATSHIELD I doubt any OEM heatshield will fit over a turbo/manifold. You'd probably have to custom fab one up yourself
-INTERCOOLER paint intercooler black pass it off as a radiator
The turbo spool is probably going to be the hardest to conceal. Maybe a custom DP design. When I had my FD RX-7 the stock DP had a precat on it and you couldn't hear it spooling. Once I swapped out to a 3" DP you could hear it pretty easily. So maybe DP design might affect the spool sound. Exhaust diameter might play a part in it too so look into that. Either that or dynamat the inside of your custom heatshield or something hehehe
