Starting installing my Tyrus Intercooler
Here is a few pics of my progress thus far. I just ordered my mandrel piping so I got to wait for it to get here then cut it to fit then get what I can welded up.

nice i just ordered that same intercooler, and its bigger then i thought, thats the 5" one right?
where'd u order ur mandrel piping from.. and how long did it take to get ur intercooler?

Yeah its the 5" intercooler. It took about a week or a little over and Im getting my mandrel piping from JC Whitney.

how do those ser's run ?? 1/4 mile wise on a low budget turbo setup

You can swap a SR20 into just about any Sentra. As far as how they run I run in the 13's on street tires consistently at 5600' above sea level on about 10psi of boost with a full exhaust including a converter. Im thinking that it is a 12 sec. car at sea level with some slicks. The runs that I previously did were all with a small stock top mount intercooler or interheater whatever you want to call it (haha).
As far as the brackets I will try to remember to take some pics tomorrow of them.

I need to get this thing dyno'd after this intercooler upgrade is done. I have heard as much as 20 hp is to be had in upgrading from a top mount intercooler to a front mount intercooler?

Got my mandrel piping in last Friday but was out of town this weekend so I havent finished my car up yet. I bought four 2.5" 180* u bends from JC Whitney. I hope that is enough to finish the whole job?

Im glad to see that someone thinks that my old beater is nice or clean!! I cant wait until I get the time and money to tear it down and start again from bottom up. Then maybe I will think it is nice or clean when its basically a brand new car!

dude, i feel like an idiot...the first thing i thought when i saw the ic, was..."is that thing made out of paper or something? will it hold boost?" then i realized that its just cardboard....yah, but it looks nice...fits right under that bumper, dont it?

For those of you who are getting that same intercooler:
I would highly suggest getting one that is either taller, or not as wide. Putting air through something that is only 5 inches tall and about a mile long is going to add some solid pressure drop.

My 5"worked fine, and it has for many other people, i recommend it

well i just went out and looked at my intercooler and stuff with one of my mandrel bends in hand. I think that I have enough more than likely I just need to get a chop saw or something so i can make the cuts on the piping fairly clean. Once that is done its pretty much getting the piping welded what i can and installing it on my car. Then comes the most fun beating the **** out of it with my new intercooler

Looks good, i wish i had the time/money to turbo my 91 classic. I'm just gonna go with boltons and a 100 shot/slicks.
Anyways good luck with your project, i rode in my friends 94 classic with a 57 trim t3/t04E @ 10 psi and it was nuts.
