Default starter turbo

i'm got to run a h22 swap and i was wanting to know if the the t3/04e turbo would be a good turbo for a street and weekend turbo set up. about a??? 400-450 hp motor

sleeved 9.0:1 je slugs?

if not what would a good turbo be for a street application cause i don't to go to big and have it run like crap on the street someone said go with the sc61 and i think that might be to big and expensive for what im looking for??

An SC61 is a T3/TO4E. T3 turbine side with a T4 compressor wheel in a TO4E housing. If you don't know these things, you probably shouldn't be thinking you can sleeve your H22 in your garage.

Dumb it down for me? Ok. Sleeving is done by companies with CNC machines, hydraulic presses, and lots of training. You think you're going to accomplish this in your back yard with a torch and a dremel? You can't even change brake rotors on a tiburon, get real!

i would mind have something with a ballbearing but i don't think i'm not going to be running over 15 pounds max at the track. so i was wanting a smaller turbo not too small, so i don't think lag will be that bad with a smaller turbo.

i got a couple t25 off of the silvia motors we have here but i was reading up on them and the turbo seems like it wasn't made to spool that high i think it's waste gated at 6-7 psi it's interal also.

I have a t-25 on my sentra se-r, and for a small turbo it rocks. At 12-15psi it will roast my tires in 3rd and sometimes 4th. Also will run a mid 12 with some slicks easy. And this is prob the same turbo you talking about.

lag doesent matter

if your turbo will not spool off the line then launch at a higher rpm
lag is only in effect if your a roll racer and roll racing is gay

10psi from a t25 does not equal 10 psi from a bigger turbo dont forget this!!!

i was in the same boat u where a year ago and i opted for a 60-1 and sure i wasent even in the effecncy range yet @ 10 psi but 1. i dident need to buy another
2. i went 11.87 on street tires on a stocker ls motor.
3. if u put a small turbo on an H motor your gonna have so much tq your not going to know what to do with it....esp on the street

Yes I agree with the fact that you can make all the power in the world, but getting to the ground can be very tough. The little t-25 will run out of breath around 7200 on my se-r and most likely earlier on a honda head. Just shift sooner . But really its all in what you want.
