Started my car, Check engine light...
cliffnotes:
B18b , p75 ecu, hondata s200...started car, CEL showing...tried to pull code by jumping terminals..why wont the ECU throw a code and just remain on steadily? i pulled the radio fuse and unhooked the neg terminal on the battery to reset and it still stays on
So I jump the terminal w/ a paper clip, and see what code it throws...and the light just stays on. Checked fuses for backup and ecu, they are fine.
Here's what happened: I have no clue! I came home, let the car cool for a minute or two, shut it off, came out a couple hours later, start it up and boom, CEL.
Its a b18b turbo'ed with hondata s200, obd1 wiring. Any suggestions, ideas, possible solutions ??
Idle is sort of erratic..turn it on, it surges up and down a couple times, then falls to 8-900 and stays there...
i was talking to a friend of mine, who said that it could possibly be a blown ROM chip for the hondata...or loose connections but i checked the connections and they're fine...

Code 0... bad ECU. You should be running in "limp" mode. Hondata will do this when the box is not connected right. Check the LED on the box (not sure w/ s200) to see if it's OK.
Datalog working?
Datalog working?
ok the LED is off
i unconnected and connected the wire to the back of the hondata unit...
and data log of course does not work, says "datalogging is not enabled on this system"
i am going to have to edit because apparently there is a limit to how many posts i can make in a 24 hour period....
