i have had mine for about a year no problems with the turbo, but the manifold cracked. i just replaced it with a drag manifold. but most tubular manifolds crack eventually. turbo runs great. t3. 8psi.. great turbo so far

Any buisness entity who wants to survive and thrive will eventually have to make changes and improve their products. With ALL the people who are now having succes with SSAC/XS turbo. I belive that XS will be a BIG competitor with garret. Why pay 600+ for a turbo when you can get the same one for 250. Only time will tell. But since im a buisness analyis, this is my prediction. Pretty obvious huh guys!

If I see one more ebay/ssac thread I am going to go on a killing rampage, this site should be called http://www.SSAC-Tech.com.

I did but there is nothing in their description that it "restricts" oil flow. the company did mention that it increases cooling....but nothing about restricting?

now im no nut swinger by any means... but if someone, in any field of interest, has EXTENSIVELY more knowledge than I do, i'll hear em out as to why they think their opinion is true. When you do that, you generally find out they are right.

i mean common, you have to give the guy SOME credit. He has hundreds, if not thousands of customers that he deals with. I'm sure he's dealt with over 100 setups using ebay products. which means he's seen about 100 times the amount of ebay turbos most other people have.

i'm going to run an ebay turbo i think, hell if it blows it was like $200. so what?

I guess I'll add to the list of turbo's that have lasted/haven't lasted.

Friend has a turbo LS with XS Power t3/t4 50 trim. Car has gone 11.65 and is on 20 psi day in and day out on pump gas.

I ran the 60-1 on my SR20 and the turbo held up fine, just had tuning problems so I took it all back off.

One friend is running the t3 turbo setup on his d-series. neither manifold nor turbo have messed up.

Another friend installed the t3/t4 50 trim kit on his d-series a week ago. The nut holding the compressor wheel on and it dug into the housing a bit. His brother took it apart, lock tighted the hell out of the nut put it all back together and it's back out 2 days later boosting 8 psi with no problems

I think it's a good idea to check all the parts really well before installing them, that prevents a lot of problems before they occur/if they occur

you guys may want to look into masterpower brand turbos if you are not thrilled about the ssac. The masterpower turbos are cheaper than garrets but have a wayyyy better rep than ssac. I think they are like 500 on average and come with a warranty.

Blaast performance has a rebuild service for the Chinese turbos. It basically replaces most internals with Garrett parts so if you are unlucky and it is a dud or it gets near the end of its life then they will fix it up.He charges $250 and has a very quick turnaround and is good guy to deal with Im gonna send the old SSAC T3/T4 i have here to him for refreshing.

What do you guys think, SSAC turbo right? Should I get it or not, he does offer a 6 month warranty against faulty workmanship...

I found a lot of kits with a cast manifold, they claim it clears A/C and p/s. It looks a heck of a lot better than the SSAC style manifold.

Shoot, for right at $1000 I might have to do it.

Just a quick question, I know SSACs stuff is cheaper, but would rebuilt/remanufasctured turbos be better like what http://www.westcoast-turbo.com offers for only about 50-200 more. They are true garrett turbos that have been rebuilt. I've only heard good things about them, just wondering if a rebuilt great turbo company would be any better/worse than a new turbo from a company that's had lots of problems(there for a while the problems with ssac products were coming in like 5-10 a day)

lol as far as i know west coast turbo has been dead for months now. I think the owner just got swamped and couldn't handle it all.

Unless you know something i dont, west coast has been dead for some time now.
