Default SSAC H22 What the hell???

This guy came to me with a H22swap and a 700Usd SSAC turbosetup.
I thought well, It will work....

Well here are the results,

At 10psi the car produced 321,7WHP

I was amazed over this stock JDM H22 producing this much, after going through the fuel and ignition curves.

The plugs were also checked after the last run,and looked exelent.
Dynoing whas done on pump gas.

Setup.
Stock JDM H22 (10,6:1comp) at 10psi
700Usd SSAC setup w a china t3-t04
550cc injectors.
Walbro 255lph.

Engine bay

Customer outside my workshop.

clock is ticking,

anyway one whole kit costs like one turbo.... I guess when things start to crack he can always spend another 700grand

if you can afford to do it wrong twice, why not do it right once.

You mean egg timer. lol. Last time a friend used one of those mani's, the WG section cracked off, ruined the tial & oil pan - almost ruined the motor.

I look at the cost on a $/mile basis. If you wanted max HP for cheap, you vent an entire bottle of nos into an engine.

my buddy made 450whp at 15.5 psi in an accord with a replacement sleeves H22 with JE pistons and Scat Rods. with a ssauto manifold and a Super T70 ebay turbo lol. And its still driven today. Sure his best friend is a welder and fixed the manifold a few times and eventually changed the manifold to a custom ramhorn one but still it did its job, very cheapily (word? ) while it was on there.

tell your buddy to make an account and post pics/ dyno chart... dont take offense but friend of a friend posts are pointless to me.

super t70, thats an uber-tastic sweet name ... wanna see a video of one exploding on its first dyno session.

That T70 SSAC turbo a few years ago. I made 367whp @ 10psi on my 2.0 LSvtec and went 11.58 @ 127 on BFG's also.

It held together for a year of 20-27psi... daily driven too.

Made a lot more power than my Turbonetics 62-1 also...

User error ruins 85% of turbos you see going bad. (my $.02)

like I said in another thread... even a blind squirrel finds a nut, and a broken clock is right 2 times a day.

I will stick to my garrett/precision unit.

EXACTLY, if you get one of the balanced turbos, install it right (restrictor, etc), then they do hold up well. I use one on my daily and so do a few of my friends. None of us have EVER had a problem and if it lasts a year then hell its just another $140 to get another t3/t4 The manifolds do fall to pieces thou if you don't brace them

you should never ever ever ever ever ever have to run a restrictor on a journal bearing turbo... ever. By the buy, my ssac manifold has been going strong for over 2 years, no cracks ever.

NOT true, depends on your oil pressure, the size of the feed line, the turbo, etc. Try sending 90psi of oil pressure through a -4an line to your turbo and see what it does

Ill do you one better, I have race cars with shimmed setups running 120+ psi on a journal t3/t4 4an with no prob, bob... journal bearing turbos are not sealed, you can not run too much oil through them. and I am currently running 90 psi 4an no restrictor on the super 60, and have been for 2 years with no issues.
