Default spudder when vtec engages

I was getting my car tuned with crome and when vtec engages the engine shudders like a rev limiter. No matter what rpm we set vtec at it does the same thing. The car pulls hard until vtec engages.

Bump because I still have this problem. When Vtec is supposed to kick in the ecu throws a code 21 for vtec solenoid. We have replaced the solenoid and made sure the wiring is good to the ecu. I believe it has to do with oil pressure because vtec was working before I installed the turbo.I have the oil feed line teed off at the oil pressure sensor. Could I need a smaller restrictor for the turbo?

what engine? i know if you had the head apart and had the rods that the rocker arms sit on out and you dont put them back on the right side(intake and exhaust) the car will act retarded when trying to go into vtec because the oil holes dont line up with the holes in the rocker arms and it wont pressurize and lock the pins correctly

B18c1. We didn't have the motor apart. Vtec worked before I boosted it.

Your tuner doesn't know how to diagnose this? Or did they tune it, give it back to you, and then this problem started?

He said to put an oil line to the head. I just wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else.

Why? Do you have any other suggestions? Already checked the vtec solenoid.

So, let me get this straight. VTEC wasn't working, but the tuner tuned your car anyway, and told you to "just hook up an oil line"? There was no "hook up an oil line, then bring it back"? He couldn't have tuned you on the VTEC lobes if VTEC wasn't actually working, so it sounds like either your tuner gave you shoddy advice, or you didn't actually listen to what they said.

Why would your tuner say to hook up an oil line to the head? Its a GSR engine not an LS/VTEC. Wow..

Muck, I'm guessing it's my previous "option B". The tuner told him something, but OP didn't actually listen.

Are you dense, or just stupid? You didn't come anywhere close to "starting a thread". You posted on someone else's COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT thread. Read the rules sticky. Then read the FAQ sticky. Then, if your question hasn't been answered, and you have put in the effort to find answers, and ONLY then, do you click that button on the top left of the subforum listing labeled "New Topic".

If this is any indicator of the forethought you put into your car, I can't wait to see the abortion you come up with.

Aw, how cute. You must be new here. Here, I'll give you a welcoming party. Complete with a cat!

Now let me explain something to you. You came into our house. You shat on the floor. You pissed on our dog. Now, after that, you expect us to be nice to you. Go back to school, learn how to properly use the English language, learn some basic forum etiquette, and then come back and give this whole thing another go. When you do come back, don't shitpost on someone else's thread - make your own, and maybe if you're lucky we won't remember how much of a winging little **** you've been, and you'll get some help. You try to steal someone else's thread with your completely unrelated bullshit, this is exactly the kind of response you deserve.
