Who cares its a matter of if you need 1000cc or 2000cc worth of fuel for your setup. Also depends what fuel your using as to which is better for what situation. Generally if your running 2000cc injectors its alcohol fuel or a **** ton of power on gas

i wanna drive 8x ID 1000..with 2x 044 bosch on e85...the good thing is i get the ID 1000 very cheap. so u say the spraypattern is not important for a good tune?

From what I can recall the spray pattern basically looks like a fire hose.. it's a very shallow width spray and honestly if I remember right, it looked like it had poor atomization. Again this is all from memory of seeing them in a demo flow setup and I can't recall what pressure was used

Email or call injector dynamics and ask about the spray pattern/request photos of the pattern

That's your best bet as opposed to posting here and I'm sure their staff are more than happy to supply you with the information you need

The difference is about a 5 degree angle from looking at the youtube videos. The advantage to the narrow spray pattern is less wall wetting, the fuel is injected directly towards the valves. I doubt you will notice a difference. Don't buy injectors purely based on spray pattern, that's nuts, you buy injector based on how much fuel you need and whatever company you feel makes a good product. I would rather have 4 ID2000 then 8 ID1000 and have to deal with a second fuel rail, hoses, staged injector tuning etc.

Having 2000cc injectors will cause idle issues as well as poor driveability at low rpm/load. This is mainly caused by how much fuel the injectors flow at even the lowest of pulsewidths.

I myself am doing an 8 injector staged setup... 4 300cc primaries for good idle and low load/low rpm driving/cruising. This will also increase fuel economy. Then I'm running 4 Magneti Marelli 550cc shower injectors at the top of my intake plenum. These injectors have a 12 hole disc with a conical outlet and they deliver such atomized fuel that it looks like a fog.

These will be for medium to high load, high rpm driving. Basically when the car is under boost. I'm only aiming for 400ftlb of torque to the wheels (I always have torque goals as opposed to power goals)

These injectors flow rates are at 42psi base. I'll run 60 base, meaning I'll have better atomization from both sets (even the small primaries have beautiful atomization for a 4 hole disc but they came off a bmw motorcycle so they have to have amazing atomization given the rpm they see) what concerns me js they say the injectors are limited to 75psi... but I know a lot of injector companies say that and they get pushed well past that point (42.5 base plus 25psi at 1:1 is below 75psi) but (60 base plus 25psi at 1:1 is 85) so not sure there, maybe just stick to 42.5 base.

I'm doing my setup this way as I'm looking for maximum efficiency and driveability since it's a daily driver but I do a lot of aggressive mountain runs as well as road course events (Road Atlanta, Atlanta Motorsports Park, and potentially Barber. Still building the car atm)

I'm not sure why he wants to dual stage 8 injectors of the same size. If you get such a good price on the 1000s then buy them and flip them... either here or eBay and take the profit and buy the 2000s

The ID2000's do not have a problem with idle.

Really?
I just find it hard to grasp given their size. Unless these injectors will still operate properly at very very low pulsewidths

Freaky, what about on 91/93?

I still remember the days of trying to idle 1600cc Rochester style injectors lol

T1 did a video of these injectors on a stock engine, and showed that they will idle just like stock

This isn't a RC1000..

These injectors are better designed... 2000's idle like stock.

I had my 2000's on c16 for a short period before tuning it on e85. Played with the map for a very short period of time and got them to idle "OK" on the c16. E85 they're perfect
