Sponsorship?
I'm 17 years old...I work at Six Flags making $7.50 an hour. I know that I will never be able to fork over 4-5 K for a turbo kit...internal work...electronics...etc. Are there any sponsorhip opportunities out there that are realistically able to get? I doubt it but I'll do anything.
I owned my CRX for 5 years before I did anything to it at all. Save your cash. This is an expensive hobby. You could also just go rice... nozzles, steelies, wing, altezzas, done. J/K

Never hurts to try. Its all about presentation. Make up a proposal or something, and send it out. The only thing you have to lose is time. Just try small companies. I wouldn't recommend sending HKS or Volk or something pictures of your auto civic w/ an intake or something. Just try a bunch of small companies.
When I was your age...the best I could fork up with enough for some bolt ons and a NOS system, might want to try that and just wait till later. Better than going into debt for a damn car, not worth it

sponsors are looking for people with something to offer. put yourself in there shoes. Why would they sponsor you? just because you dont want to pay for stuff? no. they wanna sponsor you because you can do something to help there company grow. think about what you can do for them. and they usually sponsor people with years of experience in the "tuning" field. like somebody said here look for small companys. and work your way up. good luck

I know how you feel. I almost missed a car payment due to my intercooler, haha.
